We were invited to a rendezvoos at SM Megamall last Friday. And since it's a Friday, we all came early to avoid getting caught in traffic and being late. For us foodies, killing time becomes extra exciting when doing a food crawl, so that's what we did. Lucky for us, The Lost Bread just opened their SM Megamall branch and we were part of their first customers, talk about perfect timing.

We arrived at this milkshake hub and there were no seats, but a group was preparing to leave in less than 5 minutes since we got there. Who knew that fate would want us to try The Lost Bread right at that very moment?

I'm head over heels on the design of this place. the baby pink and blue theme of their menu makes everything written in it seem delicious and cute. The bar-styled seats on one side of the cafe is the perfect place for you to take shots of your instagrammable orders, while the paintings of leaves on the walls on the other side adds to the chill, vacation-like vibe of the cafe.

We had a really hard time ordering some overshakes, since one of their best-sellers was strawberry-flavored. We were hesitant to order it at first, since we had the impression that it would be too sweet, but we still went ahead.

Hazelnut chocolate, pistachio and banana popsicle, white chocolate and pistachio shards. I liked this milkshake because of the dominating taste of the white chocolate, which I am a fan of. The banana popsicle was also impressive since it really is made of mashed bananas, there's no doubt about that. The pistachio shards were surely a plus as it complimented the banana and the choco coating of the popsicle well. I was also able to taste a hint of coconut while munching on the popsicle, although it's not indicated in the description of the milkshake. It was good!

Peppermint cotton candy, chocnut, strawberry, white chocolate ganache, mallow lollipop, iced gems. This is the most instagram-worthy of all the milkshakes The Lost Bread is offering. One look and I was mesmerized, but I also got scared of giving it a taste because of how sweet it looks, yet I'm glad I did. I wasn't able to detect any traces of strawberry from the drink, apart from it being pink (perhaps it's just some food color, or just some strawberry syrup?). This is good news for me, since I am no strawberry fan, but for those who wants it precisely because it's strawberry, then I guess this is bad news for you. What I liked about this milkshake is its white chocolate and nutty flavor, coming from the Pinoy favorite Chocnut!!!

Service was good. The servers were easy to communicate with. Asking for cups and spoons (because we were sharing the milkshakes) didn't seem so difficult.

The overshakes are a bit overpriced for me, although it's good taste-wise. If you think about it, P300 can already get you a pretty decent meal from the usual restaurants. But still, I can say that I have no regrets. It's worth the try.

My score:

Pricing – 3.5/5

Service – 4/5

Ambiance – 4.5/5

Taste – 4/5
